यदि मामप्रतीकारमशस्त्रं शस्त्रपाणयः। धार्तराष्ट्रा रणे हन्युस्तन्मे क्षेमतरं भवेत्

Transliteration

yadi mām apratīkāram aśhastraṁ śhastra-pāṇayaḥ dhārtarāṣhṭrā raṇe hanyus tan me kṣhemataraṁ bhavet

Translation

If the sons of Dhritarashtra, with weapons in hand, should slay me in battle, unresisting and unarmed, that would be better for me.

Arjuna is experiencing a profound crisis of conscience where the psychological burden of fratricidal violence outweighs the value of his own life. This surrender signifies a temporary detachment from ego and duty, as he prefers self-sacrifice over the spiritual degradation caused by destroying those he loves.
