Meaning & Commentary
In this profound verse, Bhagwan Shri Krishna reveals His omnipresence as the indwelling Paramatma residing within every living entity. By addressing Arjuna as 'Gudakesa'—the conqueror of sleep—Shri Krishna emphasizes that only those who are awake to spiritual reality can perceive Him within. He asserts that He is not merely a creator, but the very substratum of existence, encompassing the origin, the sustenance, and the final dissolution of all manifestations. For the seeker, this revelation serves as a call to recognize the divinity inherent in every heart, shifting the focus from external attachments to the eternal connection with the Supreme. Ultimately, understanding that Shri Krishna is the source and destination of all leads the devotee toward the path of liberation and eternal union with Him.
