Meaning & Commentary

In this profound declaration, Shri Krishna establishes that the pinnacle of spiritual discipline is not merely mechanical ritual, but the unceasing, loving focus of the mind upon His divine personality. By emphasizing 'supreme faith,' Lord Krishna invites the seeker to cultivate a deep, internal surrender that transcends mere intellectual understanding. He reveals that the essence of Yoga is the living connection between the individual soul and His eternal, transcendental form. For the devotee, this means that liberation is attained when every thought and action becomes an offering of love to the Supreme Lord. Thus, Shri Krishna identifies this path of Bhakti-Yoga as the most direct and perfect route to realizing one's eternal relationship with the Divine.
