Meaning & Commentary
In this profound verse, Bhagwan Shri Krishna reveals His omnipresence as the Paramatma, the indwelling Witness within every soul. He explains that all cognitive functions—the retention of wisdom, the acquisition of knowledge, and even the veil of forgetfulness—are orchestrated by His divine will. Shri Krishna declares Himself the ultimate goal of all Vedic study, shifting the focus from ritualistic interpretation to the realization of His Supreme Personality. By acknowledging Him as the source and the knower of all wisdom, the seeker transcends intellectual pride and moves toward surrender. Ultimately, this revelation invites the devotee to find the Supreme Lord not in distant realms, but within their own hearts, paving the path to liberation.
