Meaning & Commentary

In this verse, Bhagwan Shri Krishna exposes the deluded consciousness of those trapped in the cycle of material craving, known as the Asuric nature. Yogeshwar Krishna reveals how the ego perpetually binds itself to transitory possessions, living in a state of constant anxiety about the past and future. By highlighting this obsession with ownership and accumulation, Shri Krishna warns the soul that such mental states disconnect one from the eternal reality of the Brahman. True liberation begins when the devotee transcends this 'I' and 'mine' mentality and surrenders the fruits of all actions to the Supreme Lord. Shri Krishna invites the seeker to recognize that everything belongs to Him, thereby shattering the chains of material bondage.
