Meaning & Commentary

In this profound revelation, Lord Krishna exposes the nature of the Rajasic personality, which remains trapped in the cycle of desire and ego. By attachment to the results of one's actions, the soul loses its inherent purity and becomes enslaved to the duality of pleasure and pain. Shri Krishna warns that such a state of consciousness, fueled by greed and cruelty, creates a veil that obscures the divine essence within. To attain liberation, the seeker must transcend this restless mode of nature and surrender all fruits to the Supreme Lord Krishna. Through this surrender, one moves beyond the turbulence of Rajas into the tranquil light of spiritual realization.
