Meaning & Commentary
This verse marks the climax of the sixth chapter, shifting the focus from mechanical practice to the heart of devotion. It teaches that yoga is not merely a technical discipline of posture or breath, but a state of total existential surrender where the seeker’s consciousness is permanently anchored in the Divine. By prioritizing faith and internal communion, the practitioner transcends the limitations of mere ritualism, achieving a seamless union with the Absolute. Ultimately, the sloka reveals that the highest form of spiritual perfection is found when love and knowledge merge, transforming the devotee’s entire existence into a living offering.
