daivī hyeṣhā guṇa-mayī mama māyā duratyayā mām eva ye prapadyante māyām etāṁ taranti te

Translation
Verily, this divine illusion of Mine, consisting of the three gunas (modes of material nature), is difficult to overcome; but those who take refuge in Me alone cross over this illusion.
Meaning & Commentary
Lord Krishna explains that the material world is veiled by His Maya, a complex energy built upon the three modes of nature. This illusion is so potent that individual efforts alone are insufficient to transcend its influence. Lord Krishna teaches that the only path to liberation is through complete surrender at His lotus feet, acknowledging Him as the ultimate source of reality. By shifting one's focus from the transient ego to the eternal presence of Shri Krishna, the seeker gains the inner strength to rise above dualities. This surrender is not an act of defeat but a profound transformation that aligns the soul with the divine will.
