Meaning & Commentary

In this verse, Lord Krishna explains that His true divine nature is hidden from the ordinary perception of human beings by His creative power known as Yoga-Maya. Because the world is caught in the web of material dualities, it fails to recognize Krishna as the eternal, birthless Supreme Being. This teaching reveals that spiritual blindness is not an external condition, but a internal state of being distracted by the material world. To see beyond this veil, one must seek the grace of Lord Krishna and cultivate a vision that pierces through surface-level reality. Ultimately, this awareness transforms a seeker’s life by shifting their focus from fleeting worldly gains to the eternal presence of Krishna.
