Meaning & Commentary
In this profound opening of the ninth chapter, Lord Krishna reveals that the highest wisdom is not merely intellectual, but experiential—a union of Jnana and Vijnana. By addressing Arjuna as 'anasuyave' (one who does not cavil), Shri Krishna teaches that a humble, non-judgmental heart is the essential vessel for receiving divine truth. This 'raja-vidya' or king of sciences liberates the soul by lifting the veil of ignorance that binds us to the cycle of samsara. When a seeker surrenders their skepticism and accepts the word of the Supreme Being, the darkness of material entanglement dissolves. Ultimately, Shri Krishna invites every soul to move beyond mundane logic and taste the direct realization of His eternal divinity.
