Meaning & Commentary

In this verse, Shri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, begins a profound expansion of His divine glories. By addressing Arjuna as 'mighty-armed' and 'dear,' Shri Krishna demonstrates that divine knowledge is bestowed upon those who surrender with love and devotion. This supreme word is not merely information, but a transmission of grace meant to liberate the soul from the illusions of the material world. By listening to the glories of the Lord, the seeker transcends intellectual barriers and prepares the heart for the descent of divine wisdom. Thus, Shri Krishna invites all humanity to recognize that true welfare is found only in understanding His eternal, transcendental nature.
