तेषामहं समुद्धर्ता मृत्युसंसारसागरात्।भवामि नचिरात्पार्थ मय्यावेशितचेतसाम्
Transliteration
teṣhām ahaṁ samuddhartā mṛityu-saṁsāra-sāgarāt bhavāmi na chirāt pārtha mayy āveśhita-chetasām
Word Meanings
teṣhām—of those; aham—I; samuddhartā—the deliverer; mṛityu-saṁsāra-sāgarāt—from the ocean of birth and death; bhavāmi—(I) become; na—not; chirāt—after a long time; pārtha—Arjun, the son of Pritha; mayi—with me; āveśhita chetasām—of those whose consciousness is united
Translation
For those whose minds are fixed upon Me, O Arjuna, I verily become the savior from the ocean of birth and death, which is the ocean of Samsara, before long.
Meaning & Commentary
In this profound declaration, Lord Krishna reveals His unparalleled grace as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, promising immediate deliverance to those who offer Him their entire consciousness. By fixing the mind solely on Shri Krishna, the devotee transcends the endless cycle of Samsara, as the Lord Himself assumes the role of the savior.
