Meaning & Commentary

In this profound verse, Bhagwan Shri Krishna reveals that the vision of the Divine is not merely a matter of external effort, but one of internal purification. Although the Supreme Lord Krishna resides eternally within the heart of every living being as the Indweller, only those whose minds are refined through spiritual discipline can perceive His presence. Those who lack the discipline of the senses and the clarity of discernment remain blind to the proximity of Shri Krishna, even while they engage in rituals or study. Shri Krishna emphasizes that self-realization is an inward journey where the veil of ignorance must be lifted. True liberation, or moksha, begins when the seeker cleanses their inner consciousness to behold the eternal glory of Shri Krishna residing within their own soul.
