Meaning & Commentary

In this profound revelation, Bhagwan Shri Krishna delineates the innate characteristics of a soul destined for transcendence. By enumerating these divine virtues, Lord Krishna invites the seeker to cultivate an inner garden where the ego is replaced by purity and the turbulence of hatred is stilled by forgiveness. These traits are not merely social etiquettes but are the very marks of a consciousness aligned with the Supreme Divine. As Shri Krishna explains, when these qualities become the natural state of the devotee, the soul is liberated from the cycle of material entanglement. Through this path, Lord Krishna guides Arjuna—and all of humanity—to recognize their true, divine heritage and ascend toward the eternal abode.
