Meaning & Commentary
In this profound revelation, Shri Krishna delineates the Asuric nature, which serves as a cautionary map for every soul seeking to traverse the path toward the Divine. By identifying these six destructive tendencies—hypocrisy, arrogance, conceit, anger, harshness, and ignorance—Lord Krishna illuminates the internal obstacles that veil one’s true spiritual essence. These traits signify a state of consciousness disconnected from the Supreme, chaining the Jiva to the cycle of samsara. Shri Krishna urges Arjuna, and by extension all humanity, to transcend these darkness-inducing qualities to align with the Daivi Sampada (divine attributes). Only through such radical introspection and surrender to the Supreme Lord can a seeker purify the heart and attain liberation from these demonic bonds.
