Meaning & Commentary

In this profound instruction, Lord Krishna reveals the secret of living in the world while remaining free from its bondage. By offering the fruits and the agency of every action to the Supreme Lord, a seeker shifts their identity from the limited ego to the eternal Divine. Shri Krishna urges Arjuna, and all humanity, to adopt the Yoga of Buddhi—the intellect enlightened by devotion—to discriminate between the transient and the eternal. By keeping the mind anchored in the lotus feet of Lord Krishna, one transcends the turmoil of existence. This practice transforms ordinary life into a continuous act of worship, leading the soul directly toward liberation.
