Meaning & Commentary

In this profound declaration, Lord Krishna reveals that total surrender to Him is the ultimate path to transcendence. When a seeker centers their entire mind and heart upon the Supreme Lord, the heavy obstacles of material existence and karma dissolve through His divine grace. Conversely, the ego acts as a barrier that blinds the soul to the eternal truth, leading it away from its divine source and into spiritual ruin. Shri Krishna, as the source of all existence, invites every individual to abandon the vanity of the limited self and take refuge in His infinite being. This path of surrender is not merely a choice but the fundamental necessity for achieving liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
