Meaning & Commentary

In this final, most confidential instruction, Bhagwan Shri Krishna invites the soul to transcend the conditional boundaries of worldly duties and religious rituals. By urging Arjuna to surrender unto Him, Shri Krishna reveals that the ultimate path to liberation is not through personal effort, but through absolute faith in the Supreme Personality of Godhead. This total surrender acts as a fire that consumes the impressions of all past karmas and sins. When the seeker accepts Shri Krishna as their sole refuge, they are freed from the cycle of birth and death, attaining eternal peace and divine love.
