Meaning & Commentary
This verse reveals that spiritual liberation is a systematic process of shedding the ego's primary emotional defense mechanisms: attachment, fear, and anger. When these disturbances are neutralized by the 'fire of knowledge'—the realization of the eternal Self—one naturally flows into a state of total absorption in the Divine. It teaches that the path to God is not merely ritualistic, but a deep psychological purification where the seeker finds ultimate refuge in the universal consciousness. By surrendering the fragmented ego, one attains the state of unity, moving from a life of reactive survival to one of abiding peace and presence.
