येषां त्वन्तगतं पापं जनानां पुण्यकर्मणाम्। ते द्वन्द्वमोहनिर्मुक्ता भजन्ते मां दृढव्रताः
Transliteration
yeṣhāṁ tvanta-gataṁ pāpaṁ janānāṁ puṇya-karmaṇām te dvandva-moha-nirmuktā bhajante māṁ dṛiḍha-vratāḥ

yeṣhām—whose; tu—but; anta-gatam—completely destroyed; pāpam—sins; janānām—of persons; puṇya—pious; karmaṇām—activities; te—they; dvandva—of dualities; moha—illusion; nirmuktāḥ—free from; bhajante—worship;mām; dṛiḍha-vratāḥ—with determination
Translation
But those men of virtuous deeds whose sins have come to an end, and who are freed from the delusion of the pairs of opposites, worship Me steadfastly, with their vows.
Meaning & Commentary
In this verse, Lord Krishna explains that devotion is not merely an emotion but the fruit of spiritual purification. When an individual eliminates the residue of past negative actions, they become capable of perceiving the truth beyond the dualities of pleasure and pain, honor and dishonor. Lord Krishna emphasizes that such steadfastness requires a firm commitment to one's spiritual vows, which acts as a bridge to the Divine. By rising above the 'delusion of opposites,' the seeker finds the clarity necessary to remain anchored in Krishna’s consciousness regardless of external circumstances. Ultimately, Lord Krishna reveals that the path to Him is paved by the transformation of one's inner character through disciplined practice.
