Chapter 10: Vibhūti Yog – Yoga through Appreciating the Infinite Opulences of God

कथं विद्यामहं योगिंस्त्वां सदा परिचिन्तयन्। केषु केषु च भावेषु चिन्त्योऽसि भगवन्मया

Transliteration

kathaṁ vidyām ahaṁ yogins tvāṁ sadā parichintayan keṣhu keṣhu cha bhāveṣhu chintyo ’si bhagavan mayā

Translation

How shall I, ever meditating, know You, O Yogin? In what various aspects and forms, O Blessed Lord, should I meditate upon You?

Meaning & Commentary

Arjuna, representing the soul in search of liberation, seeks to perceive the infinite presence of Shri Krishna within the finite world. By asking this, he invites the Supreme Lord to reveal His divine manifestations, helping the seeker anchor their devotion amidst the distractions of material existence. Shri Krishna’s response, which follows, serves as a blueprint for the seeker to witness the Divine in every aspect of creation, from the sublime to the mundane. Through this, the devotee learns to transform daily life into an act of continuous meditation, ultimately recognizing the presence of Shri Krishna everywhere. This practice gradually purifies the heart, leading the soul toward eternal union with the Divine.
