Meaning & Commentary

In this verse, Bhagwan Shri Krishna reveals that the entire spectrum of human experiences and character traits originates from His divine essence. By acknowledging that all qualities, whether seemingly positive or negative, flow from the Supreme, a seeker learns to transcend the duality of worldly existence. Shri Krishna invites Arjuna, and through him all humanity, to recognize His presence in the very fabric of our temperament and circumstances. By anchoring the mind in this realization, one attains detachment from the fluctuations of fame and infamy, progressing toward the ultimate liberation of the soul. True wisdom lies in surrendering this variegated play of qualities back to the Lord, acknowledging that He is the sole source and controller of all.
