When we recognize that every act of sacrifice and every discipline is directed toward the Divine, we are liberated from the ego's thirst for credit and recognition. By seeing the Divine as the supreme Lord, we surrender the anxiety of control, and by viewing Him as the friend of all beings, we dissolve the walls of alienation and prejudice.
